Use the media description

The selected PointPlus and AT21485 offers identify thermal paper. A ribbon-based bond-paper or multipart system has different requirements. Do not treat a matching width as evidence that the printing method matches.

Avoid a homemade print test claim

We have not loaded, printed, scratched, heated or chemically tested the featured paper. Our images show generic rolls, not measured output. Read the exact printer and media directions.

Ask a specific supplier question

Include the printer model and whether the job is a receipt, label or multipart record. A vague request for “register paper” leaves important distinctions unresolved.
