Begin with required output

Your receipt template, margins and application settings affect the printed result. A nominal paper width is not the same as the printable area. We have not run your POS layout or measured barcode readability.

Treat guides and configuration as separate checks

Star’s TSP143IV page describes80mm standard paper and58mm with a guide. Check the actual instructions and installed configuration. Do not assume inserting a smaller roll alone completes a change.

Do not transfer behavior between models

Changing paper width can have model-specific limitations. Consult the current manual before a switch and retain the original configured width in the purchasing record.

Before you decide

  • Check template and actual model
  • Confirm guide/configuration
  • Do not assume reversible changes
